Mark Matthews did not have the easiest time growing up, with family issues & as a victim of bullying.  But, a "rock bottom" moment is where he found his highest purpose.  He is now currently studying for his PhD in social psychology; focusing his research on how different aspects of our identity influence our capability to change our attitudes & beliefs.
